Maureen Edovic
Research Officer
Maureen has a background in Biomedical Science. In 2007 she completed an MSc in Public Health. Whilst on the Masters’ programme Maureen developed a passionate interest in Diabetes and in 2008 she carried out a Diabetes Needs Assessment on behalf of Luton PCT where she gained valuable experience and her interest in the subject matter increased.
In 2009 Maureen was awarded a PgCert in Diabetes. Her main area of interest is type 2 Diabetes, specifically within the Afro-Caribbean community. Prior to joining IDOP in 2010, Maureen was employed as a Medical Laboratory Technician at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital within the Chemical Pathology department.
Maureen is involved in various research projects at the Institute and was recently appointed Interim MSc Diabetes Course Manager.
